uPVC is a PVC material, and polyvinyl chloride is one of five common plastics (PE polyethylene, PP polypropylene, PVC polyvinyl chloride, PS polystyrene, ABS). uPVC is made of polyvinyl chloride, a thermoplastic resin polymerized from vinyl chloride monomer under the action of an initiator. Vinyl chloride homopolymer and vinyl chloride copolymer are collectively referred to as vinyl chloride resin.

uPVC has good mechanical properties, tensile strength is about 60MPa, impact strength is 5~10 kJ/square meter, and has excellent dielectric properties. However, its stability to light and heat is poor. If it exceeds 100 degrees Celsius or is exposed to sunlight for a long time, it will decompose to generate hydrogen chloride, and further autocatalytic decomposition will cause fading, and the physical and mechanical properties will also drop sharply.

Main uses of uPVC profiles:

1. Polyvinyl chloride profile:

Profiles and profiles are the largest PVC consumption areas in my country, accounting for about 25% of the total PVC consumption. They are mainly used in the manufacture of doors, windows and energy-saving materials.

2. Polyvinyl chloride film:

PVC film area ranks third in terms of PVC consumption, accounting for about 10%. After the polyvinyl chloride and additives are mixed and plasticized, a three- or four-roller air press is used to form a transparent film or a colored film with a specified thickness, and this method is used to process it into a calendered film. Can also be cut, heat processed bags, raincoats, tablecloths, curtains, etc. Wide clear film can be used in greenhouses, plastic sheds and mulch. Biaxially oriented film, heat shrinkable, can be used for shrink packaging.

3. PVC general soft products:

The extruder can be extruded into hoses, cables, wires, etc., and various molds can be designed into plastic sandals, soles, slippers, toys, auto parts, etc. using the injection molding machine.
